Why was Irrfan Khan called 'Brahmin's child'?
Irrfan Khan was born on 7 January 1967 in a Pathan Muslim family. His full name was Sahabzade Irfan Ali Khan. The actor has said in many of his interviews that despite being born in a Muslim family, he does not like non-veg food. He has been a vegetarian since childhood and that is why his father jokingly called Irfan a Brahmin born in a Pathan family.
According to reports, Irfan's father often took him hunting. Irfan liked the jungle environment but did not like killing animals. He felt connected to animals. He said this many times and because of his attachment to animals he could never eat meat. Irfan said that he knows how to use a rifle but he has never hunted any animal.

When the news of Irrfan Khan's demise came on 29 April 2020, not only his family but millions of his fans were heartbroken. Irfan is survived by his wife Sutapa and two sons. Irfan lost his father soon after taking admission in NSD. Four days after Irfan's death, his mother also passed away. Irrfan gave many such films to Hindi cinema which became memorable.
