Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, Congress has suffered a big blow from Delhi. Arvinder Singh Lovely has resigned from the post of president. Arvinder Lovely has written in his resignation letter that the Delhi Congress unit was against the alliance with the party which was formed on the basis of false, fabricated and false corruption allegations against the Congress Party. Despite this, the party has decided to form an alliance with AAP in Delhi.
Arvinder Singh Lovely held the responsibility of Education and Tourism Ministry for 15 years in the Sheila Dikshit government. Joined BJP before the Municipal Corporation elections in 2017. However, within a year he returned home to the party. Returning to Congress, Lovely said that I am an ideological misfit there.
