Jind, 27 April (Hindustan Reporter). As per the orders of Director General of Police Shatrujit Kapoor, 58 teams were appointed under Operation Invasion in district Jind on Saturday and 40 accused were arrested in different cases and 30 cases were registered.
According to the information, various teams of the district police conducted raids in the morning and arrested 40 accused. In which the police recovered 283 bottles of illegal, 8.75 bottles of illicit liquor and 595 liters of liquor and registered cases against 24 accused under the Excise Act. Meanwhile, Detective Staff Jind arrested an accused with illegal weapons and recovered a 32 bore pistol from his possession. A case has been registered under the Gambling Act and gambling amount of Rs 1080 has been recovered from the accused. CIA staff, Jind, under the leadership of in-charge Manish Kumar, while tightening the noose on those selling banned drugs, has caught one accused with 864 banned capsules near the railway station, Jind.
The team of CIA Safidon in-charge Kamal has arrested two members of a sheep-goat theft gang. They have stolen about 11 goats from a barn in village Gangoli. A vehicle pickup has also been recovered from the accused. In Narwana, in the case of the fatal attack on Rammehar, a resident of village Dablain, the team of CIA staff Narwana has arrested four accused of Dablain village who were involved in the attack. The arrested accused have been identified as Ashok, Vinod alias Modi, Satish and Satpal from the same village.
