Barmer, 27 April (Hindustan Reporter). The protest of Shiv MLA and independent candidate from Barmer Jaisalmer Lok Sabha seat Ravindra Singh Bhati outside the SP office in Balotra ended after four hours on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bhati was given death threats on social media from an ID named Rohit Godara Kapurisar. However, no one has taken any responsibility for this. The police accepted the words of Bhati, who reached outside the SP office in Balotra to take action against those who assaulted his supporters. Bhati was called to SP office (Balotra) for talks. Bhati arrived for talks. There was no result of the conversation for about an hour. After this, the second round of talks took place, in which the police took FIR and assured to take action. Apart from SP Kundan, ASP Dharmendra Yadav and other officers were involved in the talks.
Ravindra Singh Bhati, an independent candidate from Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha constituency, was sitting on a dharna at 1.30 pm outside the Balotra SP office, alleging assault with supporters and irregularities in the elections. The protest ended at 5.30 pm. Bhati had demanded that action should be taken against those who assaulted the workers. FIR in this regard has been given to Baytu police. Ravindra Bhati said that yesterday I was in the control room. Incidents happened at many places. I provided them everything including booth number and location, but no one reached for three hours. Many unpleasant incidents happened. Many immigrant voters were coming from outside, their vehicles were stopped. He was treated unfairly. Where everything could have happened peacefully, unpleasant incidents happened. Action should be taken against them. Many incidents took place in Baytu, many youths were assaulted. Mob lynching by 100-200 people can be a threat to life and property. It has never been seen that any such unpleasant incident has ever happened in Thar. Baytu Assembly constituency falls in Balotra district. The most sensitive booths are in Baytu. Instead of deploying force at the booths of Baytu whose list I had given to the administration, I deployed force at Shiv and Jaisalmer and tried to reduce polling there. The greatest need was here. If there was no force here then all this happened here. Yesterday, fake polling took place in more than 100 booths. Attempts were made to capture booth. More than 100 people have been detained so far. 400 vehicles have been seized. We have given many FIRs but have not registered them. A complete attempt has been made to influence the elections. Tried to give a different direction to the elections. Instead of focusing on development issues, they brought elections on casteism. But the people of Barmer went ahead with the elections with harmony. Due to fear of defeat, political parties and leaders are busy conspiring. But yesterday the public has already given the blow of vote. The complete answer will be available as soon as the box is opened on the 4th.
Ravindra Singh Bhati was called by Balotra SP Kundan Kunwaria for talks in the afternoon. There was no result of the talks that lasted for about an hour. After this the second round of talks took place. Balotra SP Kudan Kanwariya, AAP Dharmendra Yadav and other officers were present in the talks. Bhati supporters wanted to block the National Highway Balotra-Barmer during the protest, but Ravindra Singh appealed not to block the highway. Maintain peace. Then the supporters had set up tents and sat near the highway.
