Lok Sabha Elections: Collector arrives for training of polling parties

Balodabazar, 27 April (HIST). The second district level training of polling parties under Lok Sabha Elections 2024 started on Saturday, April 27 in 5 training centres.

Collector and District Election Officer K. l. Chauhan reached all the training centers and took stock of the training. Describing the role of polling parties as important in free and fair elections, he instructed to pay special attention to the specifics of EVM and voting process in training.

The Collector asked the master trainer to explain the intricacies of EVM, VVPAT, control unit, ballot unit, mock poll, sealing process etc. in the training along with giving information about the precautions. During this, he also asked many questions and resolved the doubts of the polling officers undergoing training. He said that during the training, if you have any doubt related to the voting process, rules or EVM machine, then definitely resolve the doubt by telling it to the master trainer. There should not be any kind of dilemma.

It was told that on April 27 and 28, the second phase of district level training of polling parties will be given from 10 am. 5 centers have been created for training. 3072 polling officers including presiding officers participated in the training on the first day. These include 320 presiding officers in Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium School Balodabazar, 592 in Swami Atmanand Excellent Hindi Medium Pandit Chakrapani Shukla Vidyalaya Balodabazar, 800 in Sacred Heart High School Balodabazar, 528 in Vardhaman Vidyapeeth Balodabazar and 832 presiding and polling officers in Ambuja Vidyapeeth. On April 28, about 2478 polling officers will be trained in these training centres. In this way, about 5550 polling officers will be trained in two days.

Before this, the Collector took stock of the EVM strong room and preparations for distribution and receipt of voting material in the Naveen Mandi complex. During this, CEO District Panchayat Divya Aggarwal, Joint Collector Seema Thakur, SDM Amit Gupta, BR Dhruv, Deputy District Election Officer R.R. . Dubey and other officers were present.
