Ranchi, 27 April (HS). Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accused in the land scam case, has filed an interim bail (provisional bail) petition in the ED court on Saturday to attend the funeral and rites of uncle Rajaram Soren. Both the parties were heard in the court of ED special judge Rajeev Ranjan. After this the court reserved the decision.
In the petition, Soren has requested the court to allow him to attend the funeral of uncle Rajaram Soren. Along with this, he has sought interim bail of 13 days from the court.
It is noteworthy that Raja Ram Soren, elder brother of JMM supremo Shibu Soren, passed away on Saturday morning.
