Climate change becomes a disaster for India, loss of 120 billion dollars in 23 years, 1.5 crore affected in 2023

Mumbai: India is estimated to have suffered a loss of $120 billion due to various natural disasters like cyclones, earthquakes, floods and landslides in the last 23 years due to climate change.

According to a report, 1.5 crore people will be affected as a result of natural disasters in 2023 alone.

India has suffered an average annual loss of $5.20 billion over the last twenty-three years due to global warming-related events.

Asia is warming faster than the global average. It has been said in the report that due to heat waves caused by climate change, a large number of deaths are being recorded every year in many countries of the world including India.

If we look at some recent reports, there is a possibility of increase in the number of heat wave days in the country during the summer of the current year. Concern is being raised that the temperature will be seen above 40 degrees in many areas of the country.

The possibility of agricultural crop production being affected as a result of heatwaves has not been ruled out. Over the past few years, countries around the world have come together on the issue of climate change and are talking about fighting against global warming. But concrete results have not been seen yet.
