In this case, a CBI team on Friday investigated several places including the premises of local TMC leader Shajahan Sheikh in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal. During this, arms and ammunition including foreign pistols were found.
The report claims that during the investigation, CBI got input that a huge quantity of weapons were hidden in Sandeshkhali. According to officials, a CBI team conducted a search operation on Friday morning this week. Meanwhile, the investigating agency seized weapons including a foreign pistol from Sandeshkhali.
The CBI has seized a large cache of arms and ammunition, including foreign-made pistols and revolvers, during searches in Sandeshkhali in a case related to violence against Enforcement Directorate officials, CBI officials said.
Reports quoting sources say that in the case of attack on ED officers in Sandeshkhali, CBI raided several locations of accused Sheikh Shahjahan and other accused in Sandeshkhali. Meanwhile, complete security arrangements have been made.
