The army uses this highway to reach the borders touching China. After the damage to the highway, the state government has issued a travel advisory. Instructions have been given not to pass any vehicle through there for the next three days. Officials believe that repairing the highway may take several days. Regarding this natural disaster in the state, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has written on social media, “I am worried to know that the highway connecting Hunli and Anini has been damaged. In such a situation, tourists will have to face problems. Orders have already been issued to begin repairs to reconnect the Dibang Valley with the rest of India.
