As the protests intensified, the government ordered 21 universities to conduct online classes, while some colleges were closed.
Case against more than 100 people
In this incident, American police have detained hundreds of protesters. Universities whose students were detained include the University of Texas and the University of Southern California. 34 people have been detained from Texas University, while more than 93 people have been detained from California University. Police registered cases against more than 100 people earlier this week.
