Destructive floods can occur in the country at any time, why did ISRO give such a warning amid the scorching heat?

ISRO: The lake looks very beautiful. Many times when you go to visit a beautiful valley, you just feel as if you are sitting on the bank of a lake and it seems as if you are just looking at the water, but if the water in this lake doubles, then it Water may be enough to drown. Small town. No one knows when this calm looking water will turn into a flood, but ISRO scientists are already aware of it.

The way climate change is happening is very dangerous. Due to the melting of glaciers, something is happening beyond the imagination of the common man. This will only lead to destruction in the near future.

In the Himalayan regions, when the glaciers melt, a lake is formed and when the lake is formed, as more glaciers melt, the lake increases, but do you know that the size of the lake in the Himalayan region is increasing in a very dangerous manner.

ISRO also warned that data from satellites and research conducted around the world indicate that the industrial revolution started in the 80s. Since then, the glaciers have been thinning, meaning the ice is constantly melting. When a glacier melts it forms a lake and the lake is already there. Its size is increasing.

The shocking and scary thing is that Glacier Lake Outburst i.e. GLOF can cause severe floods in low-lying areas and its consequences can also be dire. What is even more scary is that it cannot be monitored, that is, it cannot be said when a flood will occur and when the water will bring destruction with it.

According to ISRO data, 2341 lakes were identified between 2016-17 whose size was 10 hectares. Out of which the size of 676 lakes has increased. Of these, 65 lakes are in the Indus Basin, 7 lakes are in the Ganga Basin and 58 lakes are in the Brahmaputra Basin. The size of the lake has also increased significantly. Also the size of 601 lakes has almost doubled.

According to ISRO, melting of glaciers is a big sign of large-scale climate change. Melting of these glaciers can cause severe floods in mountainous areas.
