Delhi Excise Policy Case : Hearing was held today in Rouse Avenue Court on the petition demanding not to start trial for framing charges in the CBI case related to Delhi Liquor Policy, in which the court has sought reply from CBI. On the other hand, the court has extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia in the CBI case till May 7. Now the hearing of this case will be on 7th May.
The court is angry with the behavior of the accused's lawyer
As soon as the arguments during the hearing ended, the lawyers of the accused left the court. After this, the lawyer expressed the court's displeasure in this case and told the judge, 'We were not thrown out of the court room. We apologize for this matter. Expressing displeasure, the judge said, “We have seen such behavior for the first time. As soon as your arguments ended, you all left the court. What is your behavior that you all kept going out of the court without taking permission from the court and without informing the court.
What did the applicant's lawyer say to the court?
The petitioner's lawyer told the court that, 'CBI investigation is still going on in the matter related to Delhi Liquor Policy.' In response to which CBI opposed his argument. The applicant's lawyer told the court that, 'During the hearing of the case, the IO had said that the investigation would be completed in three months, but the investigation is still going on. Following the court order, arrests were made in the case and statements of 164 people were recorded. In such a situation, the hearing on framing of charges should not be started now.
What did CBI say in the court?
On the other hand, CBI opposed the argument of the accused's lawyer and said, 'We will argue on all the charge sheets that have been filed in the case.' After hearing the arguments, the court said, 'We have not yet received the copy of the application. The next hearing in this case will be on May 7. Let us inform that on Wednesday (April 24), the hearing of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia was held in Rouse Avenue Court through video conferencing from Tihar Jail. Sisodia was arrested in February last year.
