Union Home Minister Amit Shah has once again targeted Congress. He said that Congress once again wants to move forward on the basis of appeasement politics. Along with this, he hit back at Congress leader P Chidambaram's statement regarding CAA and said that Congress will neither come to power nor take any decision. Amit Shah said that in the 1960s, Congress made appeasement politics a weapon to win elections. From the year 2014, PM Modi established the agenda of development in the public mind and on the basis of that, elections started in the country. Congress will have to face this. Congress is finding it very difficult to contest elections on the basis of development, which is why it is continuously losing elections. He further said that he once again wants to move forward on the basis of appeasement politics, why? Because they want to strengthen their minority vote bank. BJP stands firm on its principles. We will not do injustice to anyone, but we will not do appeasement either.
CAA will not take away anyone's citizenship: Shah
On Chidambaram's statement regarding repeal of CAA, Amit Shah said, what objection does Congress have on CAA? No one will lose their citizenship due to CAA. They (Congress) are misleading the people. They want to win elections by doing appeasement politics. The public has understood the Congress party very well. As far as the three laws are concerned, Chidambaram himself was a part of the committee and had given many suggestions.
