Who is terrorist Syed Saladin?
Syed Saladin was known as Yusuf Shah in Kashmir before 1990 and had also contested the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir in 1987 on a Muslim United Front ticket. Yusuf became Shah Syed Saladin on 5 November 1990. He crossed the border and reached Muzaffarabad in PoK and then formed an organization named Hizbul Mujahideen and started carrying out terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Saladin is involved in several terrorist attacks in India. His organization United Jihad Council was behind the attack on Pathankot airbase.
