If you are planning to do Amarnath Yatra then there is good news for you. The wait to see Shivling made of ice in Amarnath cave is now over. The online registration process for pilgrims has started from Monday i.e. 15th April 2024. Also, Amarnath Yatra will start from 29 June 2024.

Online Registration for Amarnath Yatra

The online registration process for Amarnath Yatra started from April 15, 2024. According to the website of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), the annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath temple will begin from June 29 and end on August 19.

Registration Fee for Amarnath Yatra 2024

The registration fee for Amarnath Yatra 2024 has been fixed at Rs 150 per person. The registration fee can be paid through the banks listed on the website for Amarnath Yatra 2024. If you want to register for the yatra this year, you can do so on the official website of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, jksasb.nic.in. Alternatively, you can also register through the mobile application provided by the Shrine Board.

Steps for Online Registration

Visit the official website of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, jksasb.nic.in.

Click on 'Online Services' under the menu.

After this click on 'Travel Permit Registration'.

Check 'I agree' and then click 'Register'.

Fill all the required details and submit. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Enter the OTP and pay the registration fee online.

By doing this your registration for Amarnath Yatra will be completed.

Download travel permit to ensure hassle free travel.

Health certificate is mandatory

Devotees wishing to participate in the Amarnath Yatra will have to produce a valid Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued by an authorized doctor on or after April 8, 2024, along with Aadhaar card and a valid identity card issued by the government. Registration without CHC will not be valid.

Offline registration will also be done in branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and Yes Bank across the country. For each application you will need a photograph of the applicant, a fee of Rs 250 per passenger, name of the group leader, mobile phone number and email address. Postal charges will vary depending on the number of pilgrims: Rs 50 for 1-5 pilgrims, Rs 100 for 6-10 pilgrims, Rs 150 for 11-15 pilgrims, Rs 200 for 16-20 pilgrims, Rs 25 Rs 21-250 for pilgrims 21-30 and Rs 300 for 26-30 pilgrims. Health certificate issued on or after April 8 will be considered valid. Registration fee and postage should be sent to the Chief Accounts Officer of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

When the Amarnath Yatra begins on June 29, the morning and evening aarti will be telecast live from the holy Amarnath cave. You can watch this live telecast on the official website and app of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

Age limit for Amarnath Yatra

It is important to be familiar with the rules and regulations on the official website before registering for Amarnath Yatra. Persons under 13 years of age or over 70 years of age are not allowed to participate. Additionally, women more than six weeks pregnant are also not allowed to register for the Amarnath Yatra.
