Khichdi is a common dish prepared in every home. Whenever you feel like eating something light, the first thought that comes to your mind is Khichdi. Today we will tell you the recipe to make Makhana Khichdi instead of rice and dal khichdi. You can also eat it during Navratri. So let's know about its recipe.
Material:
Makhana – 2 cups
Potato – 1
Green chilli – 2
Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Desi Ghee – 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
salt as per taste
recipe:
-First of all finely cut potatoes, green chillies and fresh coriander.
– Take makhana and break them into small pieces.
– Heat half a spoon of desi ghee in a pressure cooker on high flame.
When the ghee melts, reduce the flame to medium and add finely chopped potatoes and green chillies and fry for a few minutes.
– Now add broken makhana in the pressure cooker. Add black pepper powder and salt as per taste.
Then add half cup of water in it, close the lid and cook till 4-5 whistles.
– Turn off the flame and wait for the pressure to release from the cooker.
Once the pressure is released, open the lid and take out the Makhana Khichdi in a serving dish.
– Squeeze lemon juice on khichdi and garnish with fresh coriander.
-Makhane khichdi can also be made in a pan instead of a pressure cooker.
