Tarn Taran: Two friends riding a motorcycle were hit by an unknown vehicle near Harike Pattan town. A young man died while taking the injured to the hospital. The police reached the spot and registered a case against the unknown driver of the vehicle.
Balwinder Singh, a resident of Harike, told the police that his son Avtar Singh (20) and his friend Balram Singh were riding motorcycle number PB46 AH 8853. When they reached Gurudwara Baba Vidhi Chand Ji Do in the town, an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle, seriously injuring both the friends.
When he was taking him to Patti Hospital, Avtar Singh died on the way. Investigating officer ASI Satnam Singh said that the statement of Balwinder Singh has been recorded and a case has been registered and action is being taken to identify the vehicle that caused the accident.
