The Supreme Court has canceled the anticipatory bail plea of actress Rakhi Sawant. The Supreme Court has also asked Rakhi Sawant to surrender in the lower court within four weeks. Rakhi is accused of leaking an obscene video of her ex-husband Adil Durrani. Before the Supreme Court, the Bombay High Court had also canceled the anticipatory bail application of Rakhi Sawant. An FIR was registered against Rakhi for leaking obscene video of Adil Durrani. Durrani has accused Sawant of posting personal videos of the two on various online platforms to defame him. To avoid this, Rakhi had applied for anticipatory bail. In which the Bombay High Court said that the material allegedly broadcast or published by the actress was not only obscene but completely sexual. After considering the facts, allegations and circumstances surrounding the incident, it is not a case for grant of anticipatory bail.
Before being arrested, Rakhi Sawant had said in her bail plea that the FIR against her was lodged with the sole intention of harassing her, putting pressure on her, and implicating her in a false and fake case. Sawant said that this FIR is nothing but an abuse of the process of law and has no strength. On behalf of Rakhi, her lawyer Kasif Khan Deshmukh filed a bail petition.
