India's women's team defeated Uzbekistan in the World Table Tennis Team Championship but the men's team suffered its second consecutive defeat against hosts South Korea. India beat Uzbekistan 3-0 despite Ayahika Mukherjee and Srija Akula being rested. Archana Kamath defeated Rima Gufranov 11-7, 11-3, 11-6 and Manika Batra defeated Markhabo Magdieva 11-7, 11-4, 11-1. India's hard-fought victory ended with Diya Chitale defeating Rosalina Khadjieva 11-6, 10-12, 11-4, 11-6. The Indian women's team, which started its campaign with a 2-3 defeat against China, has secured second place in Group-1 with two consecutive wins. The final match will be against Spain. The women's team had also defeated Hungary in the last match.
India lost 3-0 in the men's category. Harmitan defeated world number 14 Zhang Wuji with the scores of 4-11, 10-12, 8-11. India trailed 2-0 after losing to Sathiyan Lim Jonghoon 5-11, 7-11, 7-11. Sharath Kamal won the second game but lost to Lee Seung-soo 9-11, 11-8, 6-11, 5-11.
