Sitting or standing for long periods of time often causes hip problems. Most of the problems occur while sitting, standing or lying in one position. If a person has been sitting for a long time and then stands up, he often catches his hips. It takes a few seconds for it to return to its previous position. The problem arises when such situations arise every day. In such a situation, many types of problems can occur in the spinal cord.
To keep your spine healthy, adopt these methods:-
1. Maintain proper body posture
There are many people who bend a little while standing. When you lift a weight, you put the entire weight on your hips. Such things should be avoided. Whether sitting or standing, bending or lifting weights, always maintain proper posture. Do not stay in any position for too long. It would be better to keep changing the currency. If you have to stand for a long time, then keep your weight on one leg and rest the other leg. After some time, stand on the other leg and relax the first leg. If possible, sit there for 5 minutes. If you have been sitting for an hour, stand up for a while and take a few steps.
2. Do stretching
If you have to sit continuously on a chair in the office, then get up from the chair after every hour and walk for 2 minutes. Stretching of hands and legs will be better. If there is pain in hands and legs, do not do stretching but do walk. If possible, do yoga.
3. Keep the monitor height correct
If you work on a desktop, keep the height of the monitor correct. The height should neither be so low that the neck bends while working nor so high that the neck has to be raised up. Its effect falls on the waist. Therefore, the height of the monitor should be such that its upper part is at eye level. If you work on a laptop then you can use a laptop stand. The chair also plays an important role. While working on the computer, the chair should be such that its back part also supports the neck.
4. Maintain correct sleep pattern
Sleeping in the right way and in the right place is also important to keep hips healthy. If the bed is not comfortable then it will be difficult to sleep on it. You may feel stiffness or stiffness in your back in the morning. It would be better to avoid sleeping on the floor or any hard surface. Should sleep on mattress. The mattress should neither be too soft nor too hard. Many times, due to continuous use of the mattress, it shrinks a bit. In such a situation, the mattress should be used upside down. Do not sleep on the same side even while sleeping. Keep changing sides.
5. Lift heavy items while sitting
If you ever have to lift something heavy, do not sit bent over. Lifting something heavy and bending can cause back pain. Sometimes a slipped disc can also be a problem. If you have to lift a heavy weight, lift it sitting down. Due to this, the weight of the body will not fall on the waist but on the legs.
Include these things in your diet-
Take Vitamin D. For this, sit in the sun for at least 30 minutes in the morning.
