Rain Alert: Different weather patterns are being seen in the country. On one hand, there is coolness due to rain and snowfall in some states, while on the other hand, heat wave is going on in some parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on April 22.
There are chances of snowfall in Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, heatwave alert has been issued in Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance in the form of a cyclonic circulation is located 3.1 to 5.8 km above sea level over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining northern Pakistan. The area of cyclonic winds is over north-eastern Assam and its adjoining areas. A trough is extending from East Bihar to the cyclonic circulation over Northeast Assam.
Apart from this, a trough is extending from Vidarbha through Marathwada and Central Maharashtra to the East Central Arabian Sea off the Karnataka-Goa coast, which extends up to 1.5 km above sea level. A trough is extending from South Interior Karnataka to South Tamil Nadu. A fresh western disturbance will reach northwest India from April 22.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi may remain between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius this entire week. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 23 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Light to moderate rain may occur over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on April 22 and 26. Light rain is possible in Central Maharashtra and Marathwada between April 22 and 26 and in Konkan and Goa on April 21 and 22. Between April 22 and 24, there may be sporadic rain in Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka.
