A person riding a bike died in a collision between a bike and a Bolero in the Kesariya police station area of the district, while the wife of the bike rider was seriously injured in the accident, who is undergoing treatment. The incident took place near Rajpur turn on Chakia-Kesaria main road. After the accident, the driver of Bolero left the car and ran away. Police have seized the vehicle and are trying to identify the driver. The deceased has been identified as Naresh Patel, resident of Semuapur village of Dumariyaghat police station area.
Naresh Patel was going by bike with his wife Pashupati Devi to attend the wedding ceremony in Darmaha village of Kesariya police station area. Meanwhile, a Bolero hit his bike. Naresh Patel, who was riding the bike, died on the spot in the accident. The police have taken the body of the deceased in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The injured woman is undergoing treatment in Motihari.
