Dehradun, 20 April (HS). While taking a meeting on forest fire prevention, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami bluntly told the Forest Department officials that the responsibility of the concerned officer will be fixed on forest fire incidents. Along with this, the Chief Minister indicated to hold a meeting soon regarding Chardham Yatra, drinking water system and preparations to deal with monsoon.
As soon as Chief Minister Dhami reached Dehradun from Kumaon tour, the first thing he did was hold a meeting with state and district level officials and agencies related to forest fire prevention at the government residence regarding forest fire prevention. In the meeting, Chief Minister Dhami said that the four months of summer are a big challenge for the state due to forest fire incidents. In such a situation, nodal officers at the state and district level should make microplans and start working effectively on forest fire prevention plans from now on.
The officers who were working at a slow pace are looking very uncomfortable as Chief Minister Dhami came into action as soon as the voting was over. Chief Minister Dhami clearly said that every problem of the public should be resolved on time. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in this. The Chief Minister asked the officials to come to the meeting fully prepared and also instructed the subordinates to come out of their election busyness and get involved in routine work.
The Chief Minister will soon hold a meeting regarding Chardham Yatra, drinking water crisis and dealing with monsoon. The Chief Minister says that in this state, which is prone to adverse geographical conditions and disaster, the government machinery should remain alert and promptly execute issues related to public concerns and their solutions.
