Assam Board released 10th result, 75.70 percent students passed

Guwahati, 20 April (HS). The Assam Board of Secondary Education on Saturday declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) result for the 10th annual board examination. This year, a total of 75.70 percent candidates have passed the 10th board exam. Among these, the pass percentage of boys is 77.3 percent and that of girls is 74.4 percent. At the same time, 80 percent transgender students who appeared in the examination have also been successful.

In Assam High School Result, 105873 students have passed first division, 150764 students have passed second division and 60680 students have passed third division. A total of 317317 students have passed. The overall pass percentage of students has been 75.7.

4,25,966 students had registered for the 10th board exam. Of these, only 4,19,078 students had come to take the examination. 6,888 students were absent, while 361 students were detained and 61 students were expelled. Among the candidates who appeared, there were 1,87,904 boys, 2,31,164 girls and 10 transgenders.

Chirang was the top performing district with 91.2% pass percentage. This was followed by Nalbari at 88.1% and Baksa at 86.9%. Along with this, Udalguri district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 60.9%.

Anurag Dalai of Pragya Academy Senior Secondary School, Jorhat has topped the Assam Board 10th examination with 593 marks. Jharna Saikia of Shankardev Shishu Vidya Niketan, Biswanath Chariyali has secured second position with 590 marks. Along with this, Chirang was the top performing district with 91.2 percent. After this, the results of Nalbari (88.1 percent) and Baksa (86.9 percent) were good. Udalguri district's result was the lowest at 60.9 percent.

Apart from this, this time the results have been classified into different categories by the board. Among those who passed: General 76.6 percent, OBC 76.6 percent, MOBC 75.1 percent, SC 70.3 percent, ST (Hills) 78.9 percent, ST (Plain) 79.1 percent and 51.5 percent of Tea Garden (TG) students passed the exam this time.
