Governments run hostels for Scheduled Caste students in the state. Minister of State for Social Justice Bhikhu Singh Parmar gave this information in the Assembly.
In a supplementary question asked in the Gujarat Assembly on the question of hostel for Scheduled Caste girls in Nakhtrana taluka, Minister of State for Social Justice Authority Bhikhu Singh Parmar has said that 129 hostels are functioning for Scheduled Caste girls and boys in the state.
He said that land is not available to start a girls hostel in Nakhtrana and despite repeated attempts to start a hostel in a rented house, a building has not been found. The government is trying to start a girls hostel in Nakhatrana as soon as possible.
Labor Skill Development and Employment Minister Balwant Singh Rajput said that the state government is continuously making efforts to provide skill development training to the young students of the state. As a part of which, 07 ITIs are functioning in Chhotaudepur district in which 2,963 students are undergoing training.
He gave this information in response to a question asked in the Assembly about the new ITI in Chhotaudepur district. Government ITIs are functioning in Bodeli, Chhotaudepur, Quant, Naswadi, Pavi-Jetpur and Sankheda taluka of Chhotaudepur district, providing training in various computer oriented courses, courses like fitter, welder, mechanical etc.
