Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched these new 70 ST buses pressed into service by Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation in the presence of Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary and state cabinet ministers.
Apart from this Secretariat point service, Gujarat ST Corporation operates a daily fleet of more than 8 thousand buses covering a distance of 33 lakh kilometers and serving more than 25 lakh passengers to their destinations with safety, security and punctuality. Does.
The state government is planning to purchase new buses every year with a view to provide more convenience to the passengers. Provides financial assistance to the corporation.
As per the budget provision of 2022-23 and 2023-24, a total of 2,812 new vehicles of Super Express, Gurjar Nagari and Sleeper coaches are to be commissioned for passenger service.
Among these new trains, 70 buses have been started for Secretariat Point service at a cost of Rs 26 crore, these were inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
ST Corporation has introduced 1520 new buses into public service in the last 14 months. ST Corporation has also planned to start more such new bus services in the near future for the convenience of passengers.
