He reached Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court in the sexual harassment case against former WFI president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Brij Bhushan had filed a petition demanding further investigation into the sexual harassment case. Rouse Avenue Court has reserved the decision on the petition of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for April 26.
Reason given for being out of the country
Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has sought direction to Delhi Police to investigate his presence at the WFI office on September 7, 2022, the alleged date of the incident. The court has reserved its decision on the petition of Brajbhushan Sharan Singh. Brij Bhushan said in the petition that he was out of the country on the day of the incident of alleged molestation of the female wrestler in the WFI office. He has submitted a copy of the passport showing the date of immigration along with his application.
What did the court say?
The court said that the complainant had alleged that she was sexually harassed at the WFI Delhi office after returning from an international event, but the prosecution had not submitted a copy of the CDR on that date. Brij Bhushan's lawyer said that we have also attached the passport copy, immigration stamp, if Delhi Police has to file a reply on this issue then it may take a week. We have not filed this petition to delay the case.
What is the matter?
Let us tell you that World Championship medalist Vinesh Phogat Desh and two other wrestlers had accused former WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment and protested against him. In this case, Delhi Police had registered a case against Brij Bhushan, but in July the local court granted bail to Brij Bhushan.
