A horrific road accident took place on Wednesday evening on the Daltonganj-Panki main road in Pokharaha of Medininagar Sadar police station area, in which three including a mother and daughter died. While a dozen people were injured, who have been admitted to MRMCH and other hospitals for treatment. There is chaos in the affected family after the incident. On receiving the information, Sadar CO Pradeep Balhotra, SDO Anurag Kumar Tiwari and many administrative officials reached MRMCH to get information about the situation. The family members are creating ruckus in MRMCH alleging that timely treatment was not provided. Also blocked the main road near the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh in front of the hospital. The deceased include Jugnu Biwi, 45 year old wife of Firoz Khan, resident of Shahpur, Chainpur, 7 year old daughter Fatima and another 6 year old Saima Parveen. According to the affected people, some people from Shahpur in Chainpur had gone in a tempo to the Urs organized at Barurua Sharif Dargah in Manatu. Everyone was returning from there. As soon as we reached Pokhara on the Daltonganj-Panki main road, there was a massive collision with a tractor. After the collision the tractor fled from the spot.
There was screaming among the people after the accident. Nearby people sent all the injured to MRMCH for treatment. On receiving the information, police started investigation. It is alleged that when the injured reached MRMCH, no doctor was present there. For half an hour, the affected families and the injured kept wandering throughout the hospital for treatment, but they could not even get oxygen. For this reason, especially Jugnu Biwi could not be treated. He died due to lack of oxygen. The affected family is adamant on demanding compensation and action against the hospital doctor.
On receiving the information, dozens of people of the society including Muharram Arrangement Committee General Khalifa Shahryar Ali reached MRMCH.
