Iran Israel conflict: Israel may target Iran's nuclear sites

Iran Israel conflict: The UN Nuclear Monitoring Committee is now concerned about Iran's nuclear facilities. The United Nations is worried that Israel may now target Iran's nuclear sites. On the other hand, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will resume inspections of Iranian nuclear facilities on Tuesday.

A senior Israeli military official said on Monday that it would quickly respond to Iran's drone and missile attacks on Israel on Saturday. Earlier on April 1, there was an air attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus. Meanwhile, Iran has accused Israel of air attack. Israel neither acknowledged nor denied the attack. Now after Israel's threat, the United Nations has appealed to both the countries to maintain peace.

Continued inspection of Iran's nuclear facilities

International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi said Iran turned off its nuclear safeguards on Sunday, citing “security reasons.” It was later reopened on Monday, after which an IAEA inspector is expected to inspect Iranian nuclear facilities on Tuesday. “We are going to start working again tomorrow,” Grossi told reporters in New York. This has no impact on our inspection work.

Fear of Israeli attack on Iran

When Grossi was asked about the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, he said, 'We are always concerned about that possibility. He has stressed on maintaining 'maximum' restraint. In fact, the IAEA continuously monitors the enrichment systems of Iran's main nuclear facilities which are at the heart of the country's nuclear program. On the other hand, Iran says that its nuclear program is completely peaceful, but Western powers keep accusing Tehran of making a nuclear bomb.
