On the orders of the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court, the survey of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) department in the historical Bhojshala of Dhar continued for the 25th day on Monday. The team of 18 officers from Delhi and Bhopal along with 20 workers reached the Bhojshala premises at 8 in the morning and came out at 5 in the evening. Here the team worked for about nine hours using scientific methods using modern equipment. During this, Gopal Sharma, Ashish Goyal from the Hindu side and Abdul Samad Khan from the Muslim side were also present with the survey team.
For the last two days, ASI team has been working in and around Hawankund. Some team members worked here on Monday also. Today an area of 50 meters of the Bhojshala complex was checked with the machine. The Havan Kund was mapped and soil was removed. The survey team also worked at the back side of the banquet hall. Apart from this, digging work is also going on at the raw place near the sanctum sanctorum.
Hindu party Gopal Sharma, who was present with the survey team, said that the pace of work was slow today. Survey has been done at very few places. Today, testing has been done in an area of 50 meters using some machines. A team was working in that direction. The evidence that has emerged will be authenticated only by those who are knowledgeable about it. Machines will also have to be used in the coming times.
He said that ASI officials are doing their work carefully during the survey by using equipment like iron comb, plastic comb, plastic brush, small broom, small pipes. Along with washing, cleaning and brushing, the help of chemicals is also being taken. Along with this, the work of removing soil from the Bhojshala premises is also going on.
Gopal Sharma told that till now the survey has been done near the stairs, walls, inscriptions, stone murals and Akkalkuiya in Bhojshala. Currently, excavation work is going on at the raw place near the sanctum sanctorum of Bhojshala. At the same time, all the inscriptions and stones found in the survey have been cleaned and their photos and videos have been taken, after which they will be cleaned and sent to the lab. He said that Bhojshala is a temple at first glance. The proof will also have to be revealed to everyone in the coming time. The struggle of all of us will soon yield a happy result.
At the same time, Muslim party Abdul said that ASI is working as per its own. Our job is to support them, not to complicate them further. Excavations are stopped as per the order of the Supreme Court. Objections have also been lodged regarding screening. Some people are calling stretching as digging, which is not being done below one to one and a half feet. There is no basement under the tomb of Kamal Mola, there are rooms in the form of rooms, which have been surveyed and visited by the team.
