Varanasi, 19 February (HS). Varanasi Municipal Corporation has made smart cleanliness arrangements in 9 wards adjacent to the river Ganga. There will be hi-tech monitoring of cleanliness system and garbage collection in these identified wards Rajghat, Prahlad Ghat, Vindu Madhav, Kalbhairav, Dashashwamedh, Bengali Tola, Bagahada, Shivala and Nagwa wards. Action has been initiated for this. In the first phase, these areas of Varanasi have been selected from the ancient and religious point of view, then it will be implemented in all the 100 wards. In the selected 09 wards, a beat map of 274 beats every 500 meters has been prepared by digitally including all the streets/roads on the GIS map. The total length of all the streets/roads falling in these nine wards is approximately 137 km. Is. Shift wise deployment of sanitation workers has also been done on these beatmaps. According to officers, separate handcarts/carts are being earmarked for door-to-door garbage collection in these wards and 100% garbage collection is also being technically monitored from the control command center.
Varanasi Municipal Corporation has deployed technical staff in the Control Command Centre. These employees are taking feedback from the regional citizens of these wards every day through telephone regarding cleanliness and garbage collection. The Control Command Center has taken the mobile numbers of 8416 citizens residing in nine wards. In which the Command Center has currently taken feedback from 1818 citizens regarding cleanliness, while talking to the citizens, immediate action has been taken regarding their problems and instructions have been given to the concerned.
-Action will be taken on complaints of throwing garbage on vacant plots
On the complaint of throwing garbage on vacant plots located in nine wards, Municipal Commissioner Akshat Verma has directed the health inspectors that if garbage is found dumped on any vacant plot in their area, then they should attach a geotagged photo of the concerned plot and report it to the Revenue Department. Will be made available, on which the Revenue Department will give a legal notice and in future, there will be a ban on obtaining any kind of no objection from Varanasi Development Authority and Municipal Corporation. A notice to this effect will be pasted on the vacant plot. An investigation team of Additional Municipal Commissioner, Joint Municipal Commissioner, Zonal Officer and Regional Health Inspector of the Municipal Corporation has been formed to investigate the vacant plots.
