A 24-year-old Indian man, who had come to Canada for higher education in 2022, has been shot dead in his car in Vancouver, local police said in a statement.
The incident was reported to the Vancouver Police Department at 11 p.m. Local people heard the sound of gunshots and informed the police.
According to the police, Chirag Antil was found dead in his car. No one has been arrested yet and the investigation is still ongoing.
Chirag's brother Ronit told reporters that when I spoke to Chirag in the morning, he seemed very happy. Then he took out his Audi car to go out and was shot dead.
The native place of the deceased was Sonipat, Haryana. His family has sought help from the Indian government to bring his body home. His father is a retired employee of Haryana Government.
Chirag had recently completed his MBA and was currently in London on a work visa. Chirag worked in a security agency.
