Sagar: Deputy District Election Officer inspected polling centers and inter-district checkpoints

Sagar, 14 April (HS). ADM and Deputy District Election Officer Rupesh Upadhyay, during his visit to Rahatgarh tehsil on Sunday, inspected the polling centers and inter-district checkpoints there. He also inspected Lalbagh block on the border of Sagar and Raisen districts, where the Executive Magistrate of the SST team was found absent, against whom instructions have been given to take action.

He instructed to keep all the arrangements at the checkpoints tight. He inspected the polling booths in Rahatgarh, where CMO Rahatgarh was instructed to soon mention the polling booth details regarding the Lok Sabha elections. He said that all arrangements should be made for the facilities of voters at all the polling stations and also keeping in mind the summer season, proper arrangements for water and shade should also be made. SDM Ashok Sen and other officers were also present during the inspection.

Water crisis resolved by setting up a Chaupal in village Silari

On the instructions of Collector Deepak Arya, SDM Munawwar Khan, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Dr. Manisha Chaturvedi reached village Seelari of Deori development block, set up a chaupal in the village and listened to the problems of the villagers and discussed about the water crisis.

SDM Munawwar Khan said that the villagers told that one or two hand pumps in the village have been closed due to which a situation of water crisis has arisen in the wards of some villages. The villagers said that there is enough water available for supply in the well in the village itself. SDM Munawwar Khan immediately instructed the Sarpanch and Secretary to ensure the supply of drinking water through tankers in the wards facing drinking water crisis through the District Panchayat. All the villagers expressed their consent on the supply of drinking water through tankers.
