Ramgarh, 13 April (HS). Ramgarh police has arrested three smugglers with brown sugar and ganja. This action has been taken in Bhurkunda OP area. On Saturday morning, Ramgarh SP Dr. Bimal Kumar said that information was being received about a young man roaming around selling brown rice at Birsa Chowk in Bhurkunda OP area. Based on this information, the police took immediate action and a youth was arrested with brown sugar. After this, a team was formed under the leadership of Patratu SDPO Virendra Ram and raids were conducted in the entire area.
Two other smugglers were also caught along with brown sugar and illegal ganja during raids in Birsa Chowk, Matkama Chowk and Patel Nagar. The arrested smugglers include Kumar Abhijeet alias Sunny, Akil Ansari, resident of Hehal Ambatand and Prince Kumar, resident of Patel Nagar. 19 grams of brown sugar, 341 grams of ganja, Apache motorcycle JH 01 DG 5568, Rs 28,000 in cash, three mobiles, 9 ATM and Visa cards, honor book of two vehicles and two scales have been recovered from the smugglers.
Abhijeet used to smuggle in many districts
SP said that Kumar Abhijeet alias Sunny has a criminal history. Apart from Ramgarh, he also used to do illegal smuggling work in Gumla district. A case is also registered against him in Gumla police station. Raids are also going on to arrest other smugglers involved in this case.
