Jabalpur, 13 April (His). Voting for Lok Sabha elections is on April 19 in the district. In this, 12 thousand officers and employees have been given different types of responsibilities along with polling parties. There are some among them who are suffering from some serious disease. A 56-year-old woman, who is a college professor, has applied for leave on Lok Sabha election duty by submitting the report of a private lab to the District Election Office. The woman says that she had cold and cough and when she got tested, she was declared corona positive.
When the woman reached the Collectorate with the report and application for leave, there was a stir. Joint Collector Nadima Shiri said that she could have sent the information through a family member. After that, while approving leave, he advised to be quarantined at home or hospital. The health department has started investigating the report received from the private lab. CMHO Dr. Sanjay Mishra says that according to ICMR guidelines, only RTPCR report is valid. The lab from which the woman got the test done has written 'Tuneck Technique' as positive in the portal. The lab report has been sent to ICMR.
