Mahant has received death threats before. After this, two gunmen have been deployed for their security. Police have registered a case against a youth for demanding ransom and threatening to kill. Mahant Dooj Puri of Dera Baba Rajpuri Baba Ladana told in the complaint given to the police that he was sitting on his throne in the Dera at 9:30 am on Friday. At this time a call came on his mobile. The caller told his name as Kala alias Balinder caste Jat son of Sube Singh resident of Patti Afghan. The young man who called demanded money from him and threatened to kill him if he did not give justice. Investigating officer Sub Inspector Vikram said that a case has been registered in Sadar police station against the youth who threatened and demanded ransom. The search for the young man continues.

Mahant Dooj Puri became the 21st Mahant of the Dera on 12 July 2011. Mahant Dujpuri was accused by some people of the village of misbehaving and abusing. After the dispute, Dujpuri left the village. After that, the villagers installed Prempuri on the throne on May 5, 2018, but in the month of August, Dujpuri again returned to the village and officially declared himself the Mahant of the camp. In the dispute that followed, the SDM court, while giving its verdict in favor of Mahant Dooj Puri, had declared him to be the real Mahant, but the opposition party of Mahant had approached the court in this matter. During the hearing, the court of ADJ Vivek Nasir had considered Mahant Dujpuri as the Mahant of the camp. To regain the throne, he had also staged a dharna at the Mini Secretariat in February 2019.
