New Delhi: India has given a big blow to Turkey, which supported Pakistan on all issues including Kashmir. He has also been taught an appropriate lesson. The Defense Ministry of India has canceled the order given to the Turkish company and also canceled its contracts. Although the company had not yet started construction of warships, the billion dollar order that was about to be received has not been completed, but Turkey is in trouble. Those ships will now be manufactured entirely in India. Now the Defense Ministry has given order for this to Hindustan Shipyard Limited. Five of these filler support ships will now be built in India.
For this, Defense Secretary Girdhar Armane was present in the steel cutting ceremony. The ceremony was organized in Visakhapatnam in his presence.
Last year, the Cabinet Committee on Defense chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had approved contracts worth about Rs 2,200 crore for the construction of five large warships.
Defense Ministry officials told reporters that SSL had contracted with a Turkish firm for the design. But those contracts were canceled before Kevin could be approved by the Defense Committee. The reasons for this are being speculated to be that Turkey has adopted an anti-India stance on global forums, especially on the Kashmir issue. Therefore India has expressed objection.
In fact, now only Hindustan Shipyard has to take up the responsibility of designing and building those ships. It is taking the help of a Kochi based company for the design.
In this way India is moving towards self-reliant India.
