Generally, whenever there is a dispute between husband and wife and it comes to divorce, the matter goes to court. In such cases it is often seen that the court gives its verdict in favor of the wife. In such cases, the court orders the husband to pay maintenance allowance to the wife every month.
But Mumbai High Court has given its decision contrary to the traditional order. The Bombay High Court, while hearing a divorce case, has ruled that the wife will have to pay alimony of Rs 10,000 every month to her unemployed husband. Earlier, the lower court of Kalyan had also given the verdict.
The lower court of Kalyan, while hearing the case on March 13 in the year 2020, ordered that the wife will have to pay alimony of Rs 10,000 every month to her unemployed husband. Angered by the lower court's decision, the wife approached the Mumbai High Court and expressed her inability to pay maintenance to her husband. But the High Court also upheld the lower court's decision in Kalyan and ordered the woman to pay Rs 10,000 per month as alimony to her unemployed husband. Let us tell you that this decision of the Bombay High Court challenges the traditional legal concept, where usually only the husband is ordered to pay maintenance to the wife.
