As the most important proof of identity and address, Aadhaar card is required in every government and non-government work. Many times, while travelling, while opening a bank account or while doing some important work, the original physical card is left at home. In such a situation, the electronic Aadhaar i.e. ‘e-Aadhaar’ issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is a completely valid and valid option. The digitally downloaded e-Aadhaar has the same legal validity as the original printed card under the Information Technology Act and Aadhaar Rules.
If your mobile number is registered (linked) with Aadhaar, you can download digital Aadhaar in PDF format from the official portal within just 5 minutes from your smartphone. There is no need to go to any cyber café for this. You can complete this work safely from home directly through UIDAI website or mobile app.
The fastest and safest method to download Aadhaar through any web browser (like Chrome or Safari) of the smartphone is as follows:
-
First visit the official portal of UIDAI in your mobile browser. myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in Open.
-
Scroll down on the homepage and click on Quick Services section ‘Download Aadhaar’ Tap Options.
-
Now you will see three options for entering identity:
-

-
Enrollment ID/EID (Enrollment Slip Number – 28 digits)
-

-
-
Choose any one option as per your convenience and enter your details in the prescribed box.
-
Fill the captcha code shown on the screen correctly and ‘Send OTP’ Click on the button.

You will receive a 6 digit one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.
-
Now a checkbox will appear on the screen before entering the OTP: “Do you want a masked Aadhaar?”. Tick this if you want to show only the last four digits for security reasons; If the full identification number is required, leave it unchecked (blank).
-
Enter the 6 digit OTP received on mobile and ‘Verify & Download’ Tap the button.

Once the verification is successful, the password-protected PDF file of e-Aadhaar will be immediately downloaded to your phone.
