‘Kuch bolila ta sabke lagela mircha’, Ravi Kishan targeted SP in Gorakhpur.

In the politics of Uttar Pradesh, arrows of statements keep increasing the political temperature every day. In this series, popular MP from Gorakhpur and actor Ravi Kishan has once again launched a strong verbal attack on the main opposition party Samajwadi Party (SP) in his familiar aggressive and typical style. Addressing a public meeting in Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan took a sharp jibe at the opposition and said in Bhojpuri style that “when the truth is spoken, some people start feeling chilly.” Along with this, he praised the working style of the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and called him the ‘lion’ of Uttar Pradesh, after which the market of discussions has become heated in the political circles.

Starting his speech, Ravi Kishan answered the questions being raised by the opposition, especially the Samajwadi Party leaders, in his unique style. He said that when the double engine government is creating new dimensions of development in the state and is working for the welfare of the poor and backward, this truth is not seen by the opposition parties. Using a Bhojpuri proverb, he said, “When we speak the truth, some people get irritated and start making unruly statements.” The MP alleged that mafias and criminals used to get protection in the previous governments, but the present government has tightened the noose on them so much that now the opposition is left with no other option except making unrestrained statements.

During the speech, Ravi Kishan openly praised the strong will of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his administrative decisions. Describing CM Yogi as the ‘lion’ of the state, he said that under his leadership, Uttar Pradesh has presented a new model of good governance to the country and the world. Ravi Kishan said that today the mafia and goons are either behind bars or have fled the state. It is because of Chief Minister Yogi’s zero tolerance policy that today sisters and daughters feel safe in UP and investors are openly investing in the state on a large scale. He said that Uttar Pradesh is no longer identified as a state of riots and anarchy, but as a safe and rapidly developing state.

Targeting SP and other opposition parties, Ravi Kishan said that they have always been doing politics of casteism and appeasement, but the public has now become completely sensible and is voting in the name of development. He said that all the development work that has taken place in Gorakhpur in the last few years, be it AIIMS, fertilizer factory, four-lane roads or excellent connectivity, has changed the picture of this entire region. The opposition leaders have no answer for these development works, hence they only make useless statements to divert the public’s attention, to which the public will give a befitting reply in the upcoming elections.

After this sharp attitude and statement of Ravi Kishan, the stir in the local political circles of Gorakhpur has intensified. Local leaders of Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties have also hit back, terming the MP’s statements as mere rhetoric and have asked questions to the government on issues like unemployment and inflation. However, huge enthusiasm is being seen among Ravi Kishan’s supporters and BJP workers after this statement. The huge crowd gathered in the public meeting and the reaction of the people clearly shows that the war of words in the politics of Uttar Pradesh is going to become more intense in the coming days.
