4% DA Hike: Employees will get the benefit of 4% dearness allowance from April, the amount in the account will increase

DA Hike/Arrears 2024: There is good news for the government employees and pensioners of Himachal Pradesh. The Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of the state has given two big gifts before Holi. First- Salaries and dues of employees and pensioners will be paid in a phased manner from March 1. Second, 4 percent DA installment will be issued to the employees from April 1. The Non-Gazetted Employees Federation, while thanking the Chief Minister, said that there is a wave of happiness among the employees due to these two decisions of the government.

In fact, recently the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh presented the second budget of its tenure worth Rs 58,444 crore. During this, CM Sukhu announced to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi workers, mid-day meal workers, MNREGA laborers and councilors and panchayat representatives including Zilla Parishad presidents and vice-presidents. He also announced payment of arrears and next installment of DA of government employees.

Dues from March, encashment-skip gratuity

During the budget, the CM, while giving gifts to more than 3 lakh employees of the state, announced that the salaries and dues of the employees and pensioners will be paid in a phased manner from March 1. Punjab Government has issued notification of arrears for payment of dues, all employees will get arrears from March 2024. Employees who retired between January 2016 and December 31, 2021, will get arrears from March. Dues related to leave encashment and gratuity of retired employees will also be paid.

4 percent DA installment from April

Apart from this, 4 percent DA installment will also be issued to the employees from April 1. About Rs 580 crore will be spent on this every year. After April 1, 2024, state employees will get the facility of LTC at least twice during their service period, till now they could avail LTC only once. Leave encashment and graduation dues of employees retired between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2021, will be paid from March 2024.
