Bus accident in Haryana: 8 students killed, 3 including principal arrested

Chandigarh: Eight students died in a school bus collision in Mahendragarh, Haryana. After this incident, the police have arrested three people including the school principal. About 20 students have also been injured in this accident. Haryana government has ordered an investigation into the entire incident. This bus is connected to a private school. And it has come to light that the accident happened because the driver was driving carelessly.

Mahendragarh SP Arsh Verma said that about 30 students were traveling in the bus, initial investigation revealed that the driver was drunk. School started despite Eid holiday. Haryana Education Minister Seema Trikha said that this is a very sad incident. At present our focus is on the treatment of injured children. In response to the question why the school was kept running despite the Eid holiday, the minister said that investigation is going on at the district level. Action is being taken against the people responsible.

Politicians have expressed grief after this entire incident. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, Union Minister Amit Shah, former Chief Minister Khattar paid tribute to the deceased. When the Haryana government ordered an investigation into the entire incident. The report received revealed that the bus driver was driving under the influence of alcohol and the speed of the bus was 120 kilometers per hour when the accident occurred.

The bus was overtaking another vehicle when it overturned. At present, three people including the school principal have been arrested.
