Amit Mishra’s big allegation: ‘Virat Kohli did not pick up the phone after giving assurance of return’
Amit Mishra, who bowled brilliantly for the Indian cricket team for a long time, recently spoke openly during an interview about the difficult phase of his career when he was gradually dropped from the team. Mishra told that when Virat Kohli was the captain of the Indian team, what kind of problems he faced regarding relationships and communication.
Amit Mishra revealed in the conversation that there was a time when he had full hopes about his comeback in Team India and captain Virat Kohli himself had assured him that he was a part of the team’s plans. But soon after, when she tried to contact Virat, he stopped answering her phone calls. This kind of attitude towards a senior player hurt Amit Mishra a lot. He says that when a player leading the country keeps a distance from his own teammate by giving him confidence, then this situation is quite disappointing.

Speaking further, Amit Mishra said that his professional relationship with Virat Kohli on the field had always been good, and they had performed brilliantly together for India in many matches. But when it came to selection and communication in the team, there were a lot of differences.
As an experienced spinner, Amit Mishra’s performance in domestic cricket and IPL was always excellent, despite this he did not get consistent opportunities in the Indian team for a long time. He believes that if there is transparency and direct communication between the captain and senior players, then the players’ confidence remains. But when the leadership people stop picking up the players’ calls, it starts creating a feeling of insecurity within the team.

This allegation made by Amit Mishra is not new. From time to time, many such cases have come to light in the history of Indian cricket, where many veteran players have made serious allegations of lack of communication on the captains or team management. This statement of Amit Mishra has once again sparked a debate on whether the scope of mutual communication between players and captains is decreasing in modern cricket.
