The four-day ritual of Chaiti Chhath, the great festival of faith and belief, begins today

From today, the four-day ritual of Chaiti Chhath is starting with Chaitra Shukla Chaturthi Nahay-Khay.

Those fasting for Chhath today complete the four-day ritual by taking bath in the holy river Ganga, reservoir or in their homes by mixing Ganga water and after the puja, they take Arwa rice, gram dal made from rock salt, bottle gourd vegetable, amla chutney etc. as Prasad. Will take a resolution. The 36-hour Nirjala fast will start from Kharna on Saturday i.e. 13th April.

According to the calendar, the festival of Chaiti Chhath will be celebrated between April 12 and April 15. Which has started with taking bath and eating. On Sunday, April 14, Chhathvrati Arghya will be offered to the setting sun. The auspicious time to offer Arghya would be from 5:20 to 5:55 pm. On this day, Chhathi Maiya Prasad is prepared on an earthen stove or a brick stove. Thekua is prepared and after that fruit daura is prepared according to the season and with the onset of evening, along with Chhath Varti, the entire family reaches Chhath Ghat. On the second morning on Monday, April 15, Chhath Varti will offer Arghya to the rising Lord Bhaskar. With this the great festival will end. The auspicious time to offer Arghya to the Sun God is from 5:45 am to 5:55 am.
