Congress wants to spread anarchy in the country, conspiracy to change power on the lines of Bangladesh

The temperature of diplomatic and strategic statements in Indian politics has once again reached its peak. The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while addressing a press conference held in Lucknow, has made very serious and sharp allegations against the main opposition party Congress and the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. The Defense Minister said in clear and strong words that Congress and its ally ‘India’ alliance are hatching a dangerous conspiracy to bring about ‘regime change’ in an unconstitutional manner on the lines of Bangladesh by creating an atmosphere of anarchy in the country. This statement, which came in the context of the ongoing violent protests and political movements against the ‘Special Summary Review’ (SIR) process of the Election Commission of India (ECI) in Delhi, is creating a stir in national politics. Let us understand from the perspective of an independent ground reporter what are the main points and diplomatic aspects behind this major attack by the Defense Minister.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while directly targeting the top leadership of Congress, said that some leaders of the party are openly admitting that they are planning to topple the government by taking to the streets and carrying out a coup. He said that the opposition parties are trying to instigate the youth of the country and make them ‘pawns of anarchic politics’.

Rajnath Singh, citing the recent political developments in Bangladesh, warned that those who are dreaming of repeating Bangladesh-like uncertainty and violence in India, want to destroy the country’s great democracy and constitutional system. He said that the real objective of Congress and its allies is not to carry out electoral reforms or protect democratic rights, but to capture power through shortcuts by creating an atmosphere of instability in the country.

Speaking on the protests in Delhi against the voter list revision process of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and the Election Commission, the Defense Minister strongly defended the autonomy of constitutional institutions. He said that the Election Commission is an impartial and transparent institution, but whenever the Congress loses the elections or the people of the country reject it, it starts making baseless allegations against the constitutional institutions.

Recalling the history, Rajnath Singh said that elections were held in the country for decades without voter ID cards, but ever since voter ID cards have become mandatory, it has become a dream for the Congress to get full majority. He asked Rahul Gandhi why Congress did not get absolute majority in Uttar Pradesh since 1985 and in the country since 1984? Was it a lack of electoral fairness or a complete failure of the Congress to perform?

In his aggressive speech, Rajnath Singh also strongly attacked Rahul Gandhi and his family regarding their political legacy. He said that due to the kind of conduct and anarchic language style being adopted today, the Congress leaders have completely lost the right to use the name and moral legacy of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Referring to the political scenario of Uttar Pradesh, the Defense Minister challenged Rahul Gandhi that he has been out of power in the state for 37 years and today the situation is such that without the support of regional allies, he cannot even save his traditional seat like Rae Bareli. He said that due to the panic created by the loss of support base, the Congress is today making malicious attempts to derail India’s development by taking the help of foreign forces and anarchic models.

At the end of his statement, the Defense Minister assured the countrymen that India’s constitutional and democratic structure is so strong that it is fully capable of protecting itself from any kind of internal or external anarchic forces. He said there is a right to dissent and protest in a democracy, but creating chaos on the streets, inciting violence and calling for the forced overthrow of a democratically elected government is straight up treason and an insult to the Constitution.

After this tough stance of the Defense Minister, there has been panic in the political circles and it is believed that in the coming days, this war of words between the ruling party and the opposition is going to intensify from Parliament to the streets.
