Lucknow, 15 October. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is going to become the center of important events related to national level administrative reforms and capacity building. In this sequence, a two-day regional workshop ‘Sadhana Series-2026’ of Capacity Building Commission (CBC) will be organized in Lucknow on 23-24 October 2026. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate this workshop. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh will also be present on this occasion.

Representatives from eight states and four union territories of the northern region will participate in the workshop. Its objective is to formulate a strategy to develop government training institutions as modern, technology-enabled and competency-based capacity building institutions. This initiative is part of the broader efforts under Mission Karmayogi to increase the efficiency of government officials and make the administrative system citizen-centric.

Participation of eight states and four union territories
Representatives from Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand will participate in this workshop to be hosted by the Uttar Pradesh government. Apart from this, officials from Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh will also participate. Heads of training institutes, faculty members, subject experts and industry representatives will also hold discussions with senior administrative officials. The participation of states spanning from the Himalayan region to the Ganga plains and the desert regions of Rajasthan will provide an opportunity for shared discussion on training needs, challenges and innovations in diverse administrative settings.

There will be discussion on four main areas
The workshop will discuss topics like institutional governance and leadership, efficiency and mutual cooperation of training institutions, faculty and institutional competencies and digital transformation. Special attention will also be given to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in training. During this period, each state and union territory will be assisted in identifying reforms as per its needs and priorities and preparing a practical roadmap for their implementation. Its aim is to make training institutions more effective in line with the actual functional needs of government officials.

More than 700 training institutes on one platform
The ‘Unified New-Age National Training Initiatives’ (UNNATI) portal will be used to take this initiative forward. Launched during Sadhna Saptah-2026, this portal connects more than 700 training institutes on a common platform. This will help in sharing training resources, increasing collaboration between institutions and improving efficiency based on data.

National training reform framework will get direction
‘Sadhana Series-2026’ is a series of four regional workshops. It was launched in Vijayawada on 29-30 September, while the North-Eastern region workshop was held in Guwahati on 9 October. The findings of the workshop to be held in Lucknow will be incorporated along with the outcomes of other regional workshops in preparing the Training Institute Transformation Framework.
