Kaithal, 11 April (HS). Anti Narcotic Cell on Thursday arrested an accused of drug tablet business. The cell has recovered 100 banned narcotic pills and six syringes from the possession of an accused involved in drug tablet business under police station Guhla area.
Police spokesperson said that the team of ASI Manjeet Singh led by Anti Narcotic Cell in-charge SI Balraj Singh was present in village Syo Majra during patrolling in the evening. Where the police got secret information from secret sources that Lakhwinder Singh, resident of village Syo Majra, is into the business of selling drugs. Who is going to take banned narcotic pills from his house in some time and sell them to the customers. If an immediate raid is conducted at his house, the accused can be controlled along with the drugs. Police formed a team to raid Lakhwinder Singh's house as per rules and arrested the suspect Lakhwinder Singh.
Police reached the spot after receiving the information. When the suspect was searched as per rules in front of ETO Kaithal Kanchan Pandey, 100 intoxicating tablets called Alprazolam and six syringes were recovered from the accused's possession along with 10 leaves wrapped in polythene. During interrogation, the accused could not show any document to the police regarding possession of the tablet. When the police established contact with the drug control officer and investigated, these pills were found to be banned. Regarding which a case was registered against the accused in Guhla police station and the accused was arrested.
