Very important news has come out for the drivers and daily commuters traveling in the country’s capital Delhi today. Keeping in mind the law and order and ongoing protests, Delhi Traffic Police has issued detailed traffic advisory for Tuesday, October 13. According to the police, the traffic system may be affected at about 22 major intersections, roundabouts and main roads in the central and New Delhi areas of the capital. Considering the sensitivity of the situation, dynamic diversions are being implemented at several important junctions. The traffic police has advised the general public to avoid non-essential travel towards the affected areas and if it is necessary to leave, then leave the house only after taking extra time so as to avoid getting stuck in the traffic jam.
According to the official information released by the Traffic Police on Tuesday, the complete list of 22 major points of Delhi and the roads connected to them where traffic speed may be slowed down or vehicles may be diverted is as follows:

Traffic police officials have clarified that these restrictions and diversions will remain dynamic as per the ground conditions. If necessary, vehicles will be sent to alternative routes. Strict instructions have been given not to do any kind of unauthorized parking on the roadside, as it creates narrowness on the main roads and causes huge traffic jams. If you’re headed to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, Interstate Bus Stand (ISBT) or Indira Gandhi International Airport, allow at least 45 minutes to 1 hour extra from the normal travel time and prefer to use the Metro network or the Outer Ring Road rather than the inner city routes of Central Delhi. Although there are no specific restrictions for air and rail travelers, it would be wise to avoid road congestion.
Delhi Traffic Police has also issued control room helpline numbers for the convenience and immediate assistance of passengers. Citizens can contact helpline number 1095 or 011-25844444 for any assistance or route information. Along with this, the official WhatsApp number of traffic police 8750871493 is also active, on which live information about jams and routes can be taken. The minute-by-minute situation is being shared on the official X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook handles of Delhi Police. The administration has appealed to all the drivers to follow the instructions of the traffic personnel deployed on the spot and maintain cooperation.
