Lucknow, 12 October. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, another important step has been taken towards providing transparent and merit-based employment opportunities to the youth in the state. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued separate advertisements for recruitment to a total of 1536 vacancies of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) and Junior Engineer (Electrical). This will provide a new opportunity to the youth of the state having technical qualifications to enter government service.
On Monday, the Commission has issued advertisement for 1156 posts of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) and 380 posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical).
Application for 1156 mechanical posts from November 3
The process of online registration and fee submission for Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Main Examination will start from 3rd November 2026. Candidates will be able to submit online application and fees till 25 November 2026. The last date for fee adjustment and permissible amendments in the application has been fixed as December 2, 2026.
Application for 380 posts of electricity from 6th November
The online application process for Junior Engineer (Electrical) Main Examination will start from 6th November 2026. The last date for application and fee submission has been fixed as 27 November 2026 and the last date for fee adjustment and application modification has been fixed as 4 December 2026.
Shortlisting for main examination will be done on the basis of PET-2025
Only those candidates who have participated in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2025 and have been issued the score card of PET-2025 by the Commission will be able to apply for both the recruitments. Shortlisting of candidates for the main examination will be done on the basis of normalized score and merit of PET-2025. The Commission has clarified that candidates whose actual or normalized score is zero or less/negative in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the main examination.
Government’s emphasis on transparent selection process
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is continuously emphasizing on transparency, fairness and merit-based selection in government recruitments. With the commencement of the recruitment process for 1536 posts of Junior Engineer, technically proficient youth of the state will get the opportunity to serve in government departments and the technical human resources of various departments will also be strengthened.
The Commission has also given conditional permission to the candidates marked in Under Investigation (UI) and Provisional category in the result of PET-2025 to apply for the main examinations till the final decision is taken. However, further action regarding shortlisting and selection of such candidates will be subject to the final decision of the ongoing investigation at the Commission level.
