In a major action, Jharkhand Police has arrested a Bangladeshi citizen who had illegally infiltrated into the Indian border from Sahebganj district. When the captured foreign national was strictly interrogated by the local intelligence agencies and police officers, he made such a big and dangerous revelation which has shocked even the security agencies. The arrested man has confessed that he had entered India by crossing the border illegally and for this he had given a bribe of Rs 10,000 to a local broker. After this sensational arrest, there has been a stir in the border areas of Jharkhand over the network of illegal infiltration and security agencies have increased their vigil manifold.
According to the official information received, Jharkhand Police was continuously receiving secret information regarding the movement of suspicious foreign nationals in Sahebganj and its surrounding areas for the last few days. On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a joint team of local police and intelligence department launched a special operation. Meanwhile, when the police conducted a surprise raid at a suspicious hideout in Sahebganj, they found a person there who did not have any valid visa, passport or citizenship documents to stay in India. The police took immediate action and took him into custody and when he brought him to the police station and started interrogating him thoroughly, his reality gradually started coming out. This arrest is proof of how brokers are playing with the internal security of the country.
The Bangladeshi citizen arrested during police interrogation has revealed many shocking secrets. He told that he was planning to cross the border illegally due to financial constraints and in search of better work. For this he had contacted a vicious human smuggler (Agent/Dalal). That broker, in the greed of earning huge amount, had taken up the responsibility of taking him across the border through illegal routes. According to the Bangladeshi national, he had given Rs 10,000 in cash to the local broker in exchange for safe entry into the Indian border. The broker saved him from the eyes of the police and security forces and took him to Sahebganj and conspired to hide him here. The police have now started searching for the broker and his entire network who are carrying out such illegal infiltration.
After this arrest in Sahebganj, serious questions have been raised regarding national security and law and order of the state. In many districts of Jharkhand which are connected to the border states, entry of illegal infiltrators is becoming a major threat to the internal security of the country. Intelligence agencies are now investigating whether this person is connected to any big criminal gang or anti-national forces. Whether this came only under economic compulsion or there was some deep conspiracy behind it, all these points are being investigated thoroughly. Sahebganj police have registered a case under the Foreigners Act and other serious sections and preparations are being made to produce the accused in the court soon and take him on remand.
